The worldview of the INTJs is mostly about ideas and strategic planning. INTJs value intelligence, knowledge and competence. Typically, they set high standards for themselves in this regard and, to a somewhat lesser extent, for others.
INTJs love to watch the world and come up with ideas and plans. Your consciousness is constantly collecting and sorting information. You have a strong grasp of things and are very quick to penetrate new ideas. Her main interest, however, is not to understand a concept, but to apply it. Unlike the INTP, which is content to fully understand things, INTJs want to draw inferences from ideas. This need to organize and to get to the bottom of things is what drives the INTJ to act.
Both the great appreciation for, as well as the need for systematics and organization, combined with their natural perception, make INTJs excellent scientists. The gift of the INTJ scientist is to translate good ideas into usable forms for the benefit of all. However, INTJs often find it difficult to express or describe their inner images, insights and abstractions. The thinking and ways of thinking of INTJs are often very individual and difficult to bring into a form that others can understand. Instead, the INTJ creates a plan or system based on its thoughts. He prefers to illustrate his thoughts in this way than to explain them directly to others, in which he sees little use and shows little talent. Of course, INTJs still share their thoughts with others, but only with those they deem worthy of the effort.
INTJs are born leaders. But they prefer to stay in the background, unless they see an urgent reason to take over the reins. They work quite effectively in management positions because they can look at situations objectively and tackle things. They are excellent strategists and are constantly juggling ideas and concepts. They then process these in their strategy in order to be prepared for any eventuality.
Ordinary people can get very angry about moving away from the conventional, because they see this moving away as a criticism of themselves.
INTJs deal a lot with their own thoughts and sometimes show little interest in the thoughts and feelings of others. You have to work on your ability to empathize in order to avoid problems when dealing with others. Also, some INTJs need to sharpen their eye for important details that they occasionally ignore.
INTJs are inspired by making decisions, making judgments and putting everything into an understandable and rational system. Accordingly, they make and express judgments very quickly. They are also mostly firmly convinced that they are right. If the strong intuitive understanding of the INTJ is not accompanied by a well-developed ability to express himself, he often feels misunderstood. In these cases, however, INTJs see the problem in the limited mental receptivity of others rather than in their own difficulties with expression. This can lead to INTJs not appreciating the contributions of others and prone to arrogance and elitism.
INTJs are ambitious, confident, long-distance thinkers. Many people of this type devote their lives to science or engineering. Others also feel comfortable in areas of the business world where they can organize and strategically plan. INTJs abhor clutter, inefficiency, and ambiguity. What they value is clarity and efficiency, which is why they spend a lot of time and energy expanding their knowledge and insights.
It is often difficult for other people to understand an INTJ. They are also often perceived as distant and reserved. Indeed, the INTJ has little urge to openly show affection and often does not express as much praise and positive support as others may need. That is not to say that INTJs have no or less affection than others, they just express it just not off. Sometimes people also mistakenly believe that INTJs are adamant and committed. But this is not the case, because they are always looking for the objectively best strategy to do something. And they usually like to listen to sound advice and opinion on such issues.
Under great stress, some INTJs turn to alcoholism or drug use. Sometimes they are also prone to obsessive behavior and bite into trivial little things and details.
INTJs need to remember to explain themselves adequately to avoid misunderstandings with others. Without sufficiently developed communication skills, INTJs can develop into gruff, short-lived loners.
All in all, INTJs have more than enough skills to do great things. Their alert mind allows them to keep the big picture in mind while turning their ideas into solid plans. INTJs are almost always extremely competent people and have no difficulty in achieving their career goals. In science and business, they are indeed capable of great deeds. And on a private level, too, an INTJ who practices tolerance and pays attention to his communication has the best prerequisites to lead a contented life.
