Frederick "Freddy" Crist Trump Jr. (Born October 14, 1938 in Queens, New York; † September 26, 1981 in Jamaica, New York) was an American pilot and the older brother of Donald Trump.

Live and act

Frederick Trump Jr. was born in Queens, New York, on October 14, 1938, the first son of wealthy real estate developers Fred C. Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. He graduated from St. Paul's School in 1956.

Trump then attended Lehigh University and joined a Jewish brotherhood, Sigma Alpha Mu, even though he was not a Jew himself. Trump became President of the Brotherhood and graduated with a B.A. in business.[1][2] He did not develop an interest in the real estate business, although he was actually supposed to take over his father's empire, but instead became a pilot at Trans World Airlines.

Trump became addicted to alcohol. His addiction was of great importance to the family and formative for his brother Donald Trump. Among other things, it influenced its psychological genesis[3][4], his personal and largely complete abstinence[5] and also the national drug policy of the Trump administration,[4][6][7] with their sometimes extreme demands.[8]

In 1962 Trump married the flight attendant Linda Lee Clapp (1948-2001). The daughter Mary was born in 1965. At the time, the family was already living in a shabby apartment in Jamaica, Queens.

Trump died in 1981 of a heart attack caused by alcoholism.
