What's your favorite moment in Canada

Instatrip: Canada squared

I'll take you to Canada for a quick five minutes. OK? I don't want to withhold my favorite moments while on the go, which I posted live on my Instagram profile.

First hurdle: Approach to London Heathrow with a change to a larger plane to Calgary. It worked without incident.

First of all, get an overview. From Sulfur Mountain there is a bird's eye view of Banff.

When dreams come true and phones get wet. Once again I was happy to get my waterproof Sony XZ.

Ice, ice baby. I survived the icy Johnston Canyon without falling.

My photographic highlight was the wonderful, icy cold evening at Vermilion Lakes.

Offroad! Honestly, even I became a road trip fan on these scenic routes.

Snowshoeed briefly from Alberta to British Columbis.

I'm also a Matterhorn, says the mountain above my helmet.

Backcountry paradise.

Legendary: the Fairmont Lakeview Lounge in Lake Louise.

Fantastic views over frozen lakes. Peyto Lake is definitely a classic.

230 kilometers of driving fun on the Icefields Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper.

And the road leads past such places. INCREDIBLE

Emotional moments due to the sheer beauty of the Columbia Icefield.

The early bird catches the worm. At sunrise at Pyramid Lake.

The moose were unfortunately not seen at Maligne Lake.

Bye-bye Alberta! Until next time.

Even more Canada

While I love to post my impressions on the go, I'm also curious who else is posting pictures under the local hashtags #mybanff, #myjasper, #exploreAlberta (...) or with the same geotags. I discovered some great photographers and instagrammers who now feed my wanderlust with fantastic Alberta pictures every day.

The official @travelalberta account is great for discovering new Instagrammers, as the best pictures are reposted here. The Instagram account @instahikes was recently launched, where hiking routes are presented. An interesting project that shows new uses for Instagram.

The local hero around Banff is @paulzizka. The Bow Valley is his photo area and his pictures have a high WOW factor.

There are also great pictures to marvel at @calsnape. My goodness, I want to pack my suitcase right away and travel back to Canada.

Taylor Jones @someone is @skilouise's social media manager and a passionate photographer with an eye for detail. His creativity made him famous almost overnight with the “Dear Photograph” project. Even today he likes to experiment with new tools and has set up a Snapchat account for the Lake Louise ski area, for example, which he also actively and successfully operates for real-time communication with ski guests. It is thanks to him that I now also have a Snapchat profile (travelita). Still, I haven't gotten that warm with it yet. How are you with Snapchat? Addiction factor high or rather so well?

I am a co-host of the # igTravelThursday blog project. Do you also want to take part? This is how it works: 1. Write a blog post about Instagram and travel - 2.
