How do you ask forgiveness from Allah

1869Allah - exalted is He - says: "... and ask for forgiveness for your wrongdoing and for the believing men and the believing women." (47:19)

“Then praise your Lord and ask His forgiveness. Verily, He alone is forgiving. "(110: 3)

»..And ask forgiveness from Allah. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. "(4: 106)

For those who fear Allah there are gardens with their Lord, rivers running through them, to dwell in them forever, and pure wives and good will of Allah; and Allah knows about His servants. Those who say: “Our Lord, see we believe; so forgive us our sins and beware of the punishment of fire. The steadfast and the truthful and the devout and the donor and those begging for forgiveness at dawn ”(3: 15-17)

"... and whoever commits an iniquity or sins against himself and then asks forgiveness from Allah, finds Allah forgiving and merciful." (4: 110)

"But Allah did not want to punish them because you are among them, and Allah did not want to punish them while they were asking for forgiveness" (8:33)

“And those who, when they have done something shameful or have sinned against themselves, remember Allah and beg forgiveness for their sins; and who forgives sins if not Allah 9 "(3: 135)

Al-Agharr Al-Muzani (r) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sws) said: "It happens that my heart becomes heedless of the memory of Allah267 so I ask Allah's forgiveness a hundred times a day." (Muslim)  1870Abu Huraira (r) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (sws) say: “By Allah! I ask forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him repentant more than seventy times a day. "(Al-Bukhari)  1871Abu Huraira (r) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sws) said: "With Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you did not sin, Allah would take you away and bring forth a (new) people who sin and His majesty asks for forgiveness, and (behold) He will forgive him. " (Muslim)  1872Ibn 'Umar (r) reported: Usually we counted the supplication of the Messenger of Allah (sws) a hundred times in a single session: “O Lord! Forgive me and turn to me, because you are the one who often turns to oneself graciously, the one who is merciful! "

(Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidi. At-Tirmid notes: a strong hadith)  1873Ibn 'Abbas (r) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sws) said: "Whoever adheres to the prayer of forgiveness, Allah will give him a way out of every need and a relief after every worry, and He will take care of him wherever he is not suspected. " (Abu Dawud)  1874Ibn Massed (r) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sws) said: “He who asks (repentantly and sincerely):“ I ask forgiveness from Allah, the only God, the Eternal One, the Self-Being and All-Keeping, and me repentantly turn me to Him! "His sins will be forgiven him, even if he escaped in battle with the enemy." 268

(Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidi and Al-Hakim, who noted: a strong hadith according to the criteria of Al-Bukharis and Muslims)  1875Shaddad ibn Aus (r) reported that the Prophet (sws) said: The best supplication for the forgiveness of the servant (Allah) is: “O Allah, You alone are my Lord! There is no deity but you! You created me, so I am your servant, and I hold fast to the covenant and promise with you as I can! I seek refuge with you from the evil that I have committed! I have an obligation to you to recognize your grace, and I carry (the burden) of my sin, so I ask You to forgive me; because no one can redeem sins, except you alone! "Who asks this out of conviction and remorsefully during the day and then dies before it is evening, comes to paradise! Whoever asks this out of conviction repentant in the night and then dies before morning comes to paradise! " (Al-Bukhari)  1876Thauban reported: The Messenger of Allah (sws) used to ask for Allah's forgiveness three times after saying his prayers and then to say: “O Allah! You are the peace, and from you comes the (soul) peace! You are blessed, O Lord of sublimity and honor! "(Muslim)

Al-Auzgi, one of the narrators of this hadith, was asked: "What should this forgiveness be?" He said: "They say:" I ask Allah for forgiveness! I ask Allah for forgiveness! ""  1877'Äisha (r) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sws) used to say before his death: “Holy be Allah, and all praise is due to Him! I ask Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance 269 (Al Muslim)  1878Anas (r) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (sws) say Allah - He is exalted - says: “O Son of Adam! As long as you beg me and hope in Me, I forgive you, in spite of the sins you (committed), and I do not mind! 0 son of Adam! If your sins reach up to the clouds and you then ask me for forgiveness, I forgive you and I do not mind! 0 son of Adam! If you were to submit sins to Me, almost equal to the entire surface of the earth, and then meet Me without associating me with a partner in My divinity, I would certainly offer you forgiveness in the same way! «27

(At-Tirmid with the note: a good hadith)  1879Hadith 1879 Ibn 'Umar (r) reported that the Prophet (sws) said: “You women! You should give alms and often ask for Allah's forgiveness; for verily I saw that the majority of the inhabitants of hell are from you! "A woman of them asked:" Why do we form the majority of the inhabitants of hell ?! " He (sws) said: "You curse too much and you are ungrateful to the husband, and I saw no one who can defeat a reasonable man like you, despite your lack of serenity and practice of faith!" She replied, "What is our lack in serenity and in practicing faith! " He (sws) said: "The testimony of two women corresponds to the testimony of a man271, and the woman spends a few days without saying any particular prayers" 272
