The forensic-psychiatric department treats people who have committed criminal offenses due to an existing psychiatric illness. The legal basis for treatment results from the Hamburg Measures Act.

The course of treatment is divided into admission and initial diagnosis, occupational group-specific treatment planning and implementation, risk analysis and rehabilitation measures.
